Trilogy of wines
Like most artistic endeavors, winemaking takes patience… watching the season unfold in the vineyard, evaluating the wines as they evolve in the barrel and allowing them to just be as they rest in the bottle… this life is not recommended for those seeking instant gratification. Yet, over time, it fills the soul.
Each of our Estate Wines, is hand harvested under the stars by our family and the vineyard crew. They are then sorted to allow only perfect fruit to free flow into a combination of new and neutral barrels. This is their home for the next two years. In barrel, tannins will soften as gorgeous color, aroma and complexity develops.
Our Wild Iris, 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Lam Benz Vineyard, is a beautiful expression of warm weather Sauvignon Blanc. Also harvested at night, the fruit is pressed upon arrival at the winery filling the air with its amazing fragrance. The juice then free flows into neutral barrels where it is allowed an extended time for stirring the lees before its final barreling down. Four months later this aromatic, mouth filling wine is bottled and ready for release.

Cabernet For Care
|
In the summer of 2008, Laurie Claudon & her husband Tom Clark, searched for a connection between their two passions: making wine and making a difference. Out of that process, Clark-Claudon Cabernet for Care was created. This simple, but powerful philanthropic program was a perfect fit. “We offer a 50% discount and ask participants to donate the other 50% to a selected charitable cause.” Thus, Cabernet for Care as a partnership for good, has raised thousands of dollars for worthy causes.
Inspired by Tom’s Dramatic Rescue of this Young Osprey, We Are Excited to Announce,
Napa Wildlife Rescue Has been Chosen as the Current Recipient of Clark-Claudon Vineyards Cabernet for Care!

2017
A very pretty and tight red with currants and sweet tobacco, as well as cedar and lavender. Full-bodied, chewy and polished. Dense center palate. Shows focus and brightness. Cabernet sauvignon with a dash of petit verdot. Give this two or three years.

2019
Ripe blackberries and plums with some sweet vanilla and chocolate. Roasted almonds and wet earth, too. Full-bodied with bright acidity and a grip of chewy tannins on the long finish. Yet, in spite of the tannins, it remains succulent and plush, but needs some time to soften. Try from 2023.

2015
A dense and layered red with a velvety texture and a rich, juicy finish. Full body with vanilla, blackberries and some cappuccino. This needs another two or three years to come together.

2016
2016 The tiny production 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Eternity is a vineyard selection that spent 22 months in 80% new French oak. It’s another smoking good wine from this team. More straight, elegant, and deep, with plenty of structure, it has classic black and blue fruits, violets, and pine forest-like aromas and flavors. With full body, terrific purity, and plenty of mountain tannins as well as concentration, hide bottles for 4-5 years and drink over the following 15-20. 85 cases.

2018
A cellar selection blend that is mostly (all?) Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and concentrated, with a full-bodied, mineral laced style carrying impressive Cassis Fruits as well as notes of violets, crushed stone, orange blossom, and freshly sharpened pencils. It’s a classic 2018 that shows the structure and purity of this great vintage. It needs to be forgotten for at least 4-5 years and should have 30 years more of longevity.

2019
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Eternity comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant scents of warm cassis, baked plums and stewed blackberries, with hints of fruitcake and exotic spices. Full-bodied, opulent and super concentrated, with plush tannins and sweet, spicy black fruits, it finishes long and fantastically showy.
