Like most artistic endeavors, winemaking takes patience. Watching the season unfold in the vineyard, evaluating the wines as they evolve in the barrel and allowing them to just be, as they rest in the bottle; this life is not recommended for those seeking instant gratification. Yet, when the time comes to share a stunning finished product all of the anticipation is worth it.
2012 Wild Iris Sauvignon Blanc is freshly inviting; brilliant gold with touches of emerald paradot. A complex wine, Iris reveals aromas of gooseberry, a touch of cassis buds, hints of cantaloupe, yellow raspberries and slight notes of curry and jalapeno. The mouth feel is soft and fresh with a cornucopia of star fruit, apricot and honeysuckle along with its signature minerality. Enjoy its long smooth fruit filled finish with hints of vanilla.

Ah, beautiful deep ruby color and hints of geranium on the rim. A spectacular burst of boysenberry, blueberry and black currant, plus undertones of honeycomb, crème brulee, spicy oak and sage. A velvety wine packed with juicy black cherry and dark stone fruit, perfect balance and fine tanins. Finish with long lingering notes of quinine, cedar, ripe fruit and dark chocolate. Pure splendor in the glass!
