| 2004 |
Using only 70% of our production our 2004 Estate bottling is a pure varietal expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. A compelling mixture of cassis, violet and cherry dominate the aromas while 24 months of aging in French oak imparts a fine-grained texture and lingering chocolate finish. The hallmark of this vintage is an elegant, silky texture that is imparted from mature vines and gentle handling in the cellar. At the table enjoy this wine with richly flavored beef dishes, lamb, earthy wild mushrooms and savory cheese. Drink now-2020. |

The 2000 Clark~Claudon Vineyards is a rich elegant wine whose trademark deep garnet core draws you in to enjoy aromas of pronounced ripe plums and raspberries with underlying damp cedar. As you approach our '98 vintage your senses are alerted to the rich inky color and wonderful complex aromas of black cherries, sweet ripe berries, spicy cedar and hints of earthiness. On the palate this perfectly balanced wine coats the mouth with layers of dense ripe black fruit, currants and glycerin followed by a long spicy finish. The soft yet substantial tannins coupled with excellent acidity will assure the age worthiness of the wine. All in all the 1998 vintage is an elegant, complex, rich, fruit packed wine with perfect balance and structure. If the '98 vintage is spotty our Family Vineyard must have been in the right spot. |

The 1997 Clark~Claudon Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon simply said, is a magnificent wine. Brilliant garnet in color with magenta edges the wine coats the glass leaving enticingly long legs. One deep breath fills you with layers of dark berries, dried cherries, earthy smoke and cedar, with hints of spicy pepper and cassis and an undertone of dark chocolate. On the palate the '97 is rich, full-bodied and beautifully structured with perfect balance, a wonderful mouth feel and a long luxurious finish. |

This vintage is a wonderful example of the best of what a hillside vineyard can produce. It presents with a bouquet of black cherry, black currants, licorice, violets, plum, Asian spice and sweet oak, tinged with tea and toast. On the palate the flavors of jammy cherries, black berries, currants, licorice and spice are very rich and expansive, with exceptional balance and style, followed by a medium-long, lingering, very fruity, spicy finish. This is a big serious cab. |

Our first vintage greets you with very forward black cherries, berries and cedar with a hint of peppery mint. It is a richly elegant wine with good depth and a lingering finish of fruit, spice and tannin. While the youth of the vines is evident, this wine is an enticing prelude of what is to come in later vintages. |
